Dr. Sundar Natarajan

DVM. Ph.D.

My name is Dr. Sundar Natarajan, DVM. Ph.D. I felt that in order for me to get to know you and your pet, I believe that you should know a little about my qualifications and me first.

I received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988.

After a brief period in mixed animal practice, I earned my master’s degree in Veterinary medicine during 1991 and Ph.D., in Veterinary medicine during 1999. I was performing duties like teaching, research, and as a clinician in the capacity of Assistant Professor in Madras Veterinary College, India for a period of 13 years. I also successfully ran my own small animal practice in Chennai, India for 5 years.

In 2005, I was invited to do research at USDA, Beltsville, MD.

Later, I joined National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD to continue the research for a period of 6 years. During these days, I contributed in more than 45 research publications.

Dr. Jasmine Landaverde

DVM

If Dr. Jasmine looks familiar, she began her career as a veterinary technician with Riverdale Park Animal Hospital in 2015.

She received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps). Years later, Dr. Jasmine obtained her degree in veterinary medicine at Michigan State University (Go Green Go White) and has returned to the DMV area to begin practicing at Riverdale Park Animal Hospital!

She enjoys trying new restaurants, visiting nature parks, bird watching, and traveling in her spare time. At home, Dr. Jasmine and her husband have their hands full with their three dogs: Simba (a golden mix), Appa (a Coton de Tulear mix), Eli (a Cavapoo), and their three-legged Oriental cat named Na’vi.

We are so proud and excited to welcome her back to the team and look forward to the amazing care and treatment she will provide our beloved furry family members!
